The western sky is Mediterranean and The east is polar
Shadows climb the blocks Gray overtakes apricot The moon faces west
I will stay until The hateful sky fades to black And the lights come on.
A yellow-clad block Cuts a rectangle from the clouds that will soon rain
A cell phone tower Light on its eastern faces Turn off airplane mode
Thank you for the clouds the birds that fly across them And the winds that move
The sky develops Behind the corners of blocks From midwinter night
Leaving the garden. Last year’s plants in this winter. Gray and brown and green.
Dead leaves on a twig They will cling all winter, but Buds will dislodge them
Hoarfrost on branches Fog above and snow below Black wood in between
